Review the BMV notice, court order, and online driver record. The agency cannot shorten or independently determine the government-required period.
Ohio requirements changed
The Ohio BMV states that some non-compliance and point-suspension filing periods changed for matters beginning after April 9, 2025, while earlier records may retain longer requirements.
Do not cancel based on an estimate
Confirm completion directly with the Ohio BMV before ending or replacing coverage. A mistaken cancellation can create a reported lapse and additional problems.
